Mary Louise Jack

Mary "Louise" Jack, 95, passed away in Lincoln, Michigan, on Thursday, June 13th, 2013.
Louise was born in Muskegon, Michigan, on July 11, 2025 to Alma Suzanne Hastings Newberry and Arthur George Newberry. She attended schools in Alpena, Detroit and in Harrisville, where she helped her parents run the local hotel (now known as the Old Place Inn). Upon graduating from High School, Louise attended The Mercy School of Nursing in Detroit. After receiving her degree as a Registered Nurse, she married William Lyle Jack on 21 December 1940.
During her nursing career she ran maternity homes in Harrisville and was Dr. Constantine’s nurse. In 1973, Louise and Lyle moved to Mt. Pleasant Michigan where she worked as a RN at the Medical Care Facility. Upon retiring, they moved to St. Petersburg, FL. Lyle passed away in 1993 and she moved back to Michigan.
Louise is survived by her brother, Robert Newberry of Sterling Heights, MI , a sister in law Alexina Jack of Lincoln and her children, Mary Jane Foster of Pensacola, FL, Richard Jack (Janie) of Harrisville, MI, William Jack (Sandra) of West Bloomfield, MI, and Victor Jack (Barbara) of Colorado Springs, CO. as well as her seven grandchildren: Robert Foster, Kathryn Angles, Randall Jack, Jason Jack, Lisa Pelfrey, Aleena Jack , Carl Jack, and 10 great grandchildren.
A summer burial will occur in Harrisville.
